A good ideas is to look for a good computer animation school. Even thought a 3d animation software can be learned independently just by following different tutorials and reading manuals, being a good 3d animator is much more than knowing how to use a 3d software lik Autodesk 3ds max or Maya. I would say even more, for animators the software is not so important since many studios like Pixar use their own proprietary animation softwares which you will be able to learn only when you get hired.
The most important in 3d animation is the ability to tell a story, to fill your characters with emotion and life and this is an art and a skill that should be learned .
